A formal mock GCSE results presentation ceremony was held on Wednesday 15th January for all year 11 students.
This was an opportunity to celebrate the hard work they had put in with their mock GCSE exams, and motivate them for their final two terms of key stage 4 education.

Preparations for the mock exams started back in October, including after school revision sessions and at home revision programmes. All exams were completed in strict exam conditions, with the exam timetables being distributed to parents and students in November.  Teachers wanted students to experience exactly what the fast approaching summer GCSE exam season will be like and the level of work and effort students will be expected to complete and students planned, revised and worked extremely hard. Students were able to open their results with the support of their form tutors, year leader and year manager.

Students attended a drama production run by ‘Box Clever’, highlighting road safety and the dangers of drink and drug driving, both as a driver and as a passenger.

The production company work around the UK, specialising in educational shows for young adults. This performance linked stories together to show students how decisions they make on the roads can have serious consequences, and how these decisions can affect both their lives and the lives of others by making the wrong choices.
