Year 7

     Christmas Fayre

Year 7 students organised the annual school fair as a local community Christmas event on Thursday 6th December.  There were craft, toy and stationery stalls as well as sweet and edible treat stands. The school choir provided carols and refreshments were available for all to enjoy. Year 7 students also organised fun and games tables and there was also the annual FCC Christmas raffle.

    Michelle Kelly, Deputy Headteacher commented:

“It was a thoroughly enjoyable festive evening. It was a great chance for our students to show their entrepreneurial skills by organising and running some of the stalls and there was a real buzz to the evening. It was bigger and better than last year and next year we are planning it to be bigger still! Special thanks to the local businesses who provided raffle prizes, the local craft stalls who attended and to the parents and students who supported the event.

    Road Safety Workshop

Students took part in an interactive workshop raising awareness of road safety with young adults. Run by ‘Sussex Safer Roads’ and funded by West Sussex County Council, ‘Streetwise’ Theatre Company are running the workshops across the county targeting students in their first year of secondary school, when many of the students will be travelling to school on their own for the first time.

    Blackland Farm

Students took part in a one-night residential trip at the beginning of the Autumn term
to Blackland Farm in East Grinstead, Sussex.

The year group was split, with 7 FELP attending on the 16th and 17th September, HAM on the 1st
and 2nd October, then OCG on the 3rd and 4th October.

All groups thoroughly enjoyed the trip and came home with some amazing stories!
